our meat program for 2010 is full but we may have a
few extra at butching time.
We will be taking reservations for meat again in January 2011
This years particulars are listed out below and subject to change
at any time
All our food animals are raised as humanely, naturally
and organically as possible without non theraputic antibiotics, hormones
or other growth enhancers.
They are grass fed, free ranged and pasture raised and forage for
most of their food and live longer and take longer to raise to marketable
weight.
And we can give our livestock extra personal attention and care because
we limit the numbers of animals to only a handful and not the thousands
you would see at a factory farm.

Chickens - CSA

I may have a few extra chickens available
at processing time but I can not guarrentee that so no further deposits
are being taken for chicken.
If you are interested in any possible extra chickens we may have

- Mighty Meat Birds
Pickup at our farm the end of June or beginning of July, exact date
will be decided as the time approaches.
Chickens are sold plucked and cleaned, as whole roasters in clear
plastic bags and stored on ice in a plastic tub in our garage until
you pick them up. Please bring a cooler or plastic tote with ice
to get these guys home, they will be cold and wet. When pick up
day arrives please make plans to be here or have someone pick the
birds up for you, we do not have any room in our fridge or freezer
to store your birds. Weights will not be known until the day they
are processed but usually range from 3.5 to 6 pounds. Deposits per
bird are required in advance.
Non refundable deposit = $5.00 per Chicken - this amount will be
deducted from your total upon pickup.
$3.50 per pound at pickup minus deposits.
limit per person - 20 Chickens
Anyone that does not pick up their meat on time will forfeit their
deposit and meat.
I do not have any storage facility or room in my freezer to hold
your meat.

Turkey- CSA

at processing time but I can not guarrentee that so no further deposits
are being taken for turkeys.

Pick up at our farm in November, the Monday before Thanksgiving
Turkeys are sold plucked and cleaned, as whole roasters in clear
plastic bags and stored on ice till you pick them up.
Please bring a cooler or plastic tote with ice to get these guys
home, they will be cold and wet.
When pick up day arrives please make plans to be here or have someone
pick the birds up for you, we do not have any room in our fridge
or freezer to store your birds.
Weights will not be known until the day they are processed but usually
range from 18 to 24 pounds.
Deposits per bird are required in advance.
Non refundable deposit = $20.00 per Turkey - this amount will be
deducted from your total upon pickup.
$3.50 per pound at pickup minus deposits.
limit per person - 3 Turkeys
Anyone that does not pick up their meat on time will forfeit their
deposit and meat.

Goose - CSA

American Buff
Embden
Pick up at our farm in November, the Monday before Thanksgiving

Lamb -CSA

at processing time but I can not guarrentee that so no further deposits
are being taken for lamb.

Dorper and dorper crosses- Ready Early
September, exact date will be decided as the time approaches.

Whole - $6.00 per pound based on hanging weight
Half lamb - $7.00 per pound based on hanging weight
hanging weight is the weight of the meat after the initial skinning
and cleaning process and is about half of the live weight.
Actual hanging weights will not be known until the lamb is sent
to the butcher but can range from 50 to 80 for a whole lamb.
Professional Processing will be done by Kellers Meat in Litchfield
- (330) 722-4501
Your lamb will go in on a Sunday and the butcher will be expecting
you to call that Tuesday with your cutting instructions.
They are very nice and will walk you through the types of cuts for
your particular meat.
All butcher cutting fees, packaging and freezing is included in
the price. You will not have to pay the butcher.
You will pick up at Kellers Meats on Rt 83 just north of the Lichfield
circle.
Whole lamb deposit - $100.00
Half lamb deposit - $50.00
Your deposit(s) will be deducted from the total amount.
I will email you with the balance after you have picked up your
meat.
You may then mail a check to me with the balance or stop in with
payment and say Hi.
Limit per person- 2 Lambs
If you feel this would be too much meat you might consider "going
in" with another friend or family member,
the sharing and collecting of money from who be up to you so that
the farm only has you as the contact and any checks for payment
come only from you.

Pork - CSA

as the time approaches.

Whole - $4.00 per pound based on hanging weight
Half Hog - $5.00 per pound based on hanging weight
hanging weight is the weight of the meat after the initial skinning
and cleaning process and is about 60 to 70 percent of the live weight.
Actual weights will not be known until the hog is sent to the butcher
but can range from 150 to 225 hanging weight.
If you feel this would be too much meat you might consider "going
in" with another friend or family member, the sharing and collecting
of money from who be up to you so that the farm only has you as
the contact and any checks for payment come only from you.
